The 2026 F1 qualifying schedule

Grand Prix qualifying for all 23 rounds of the 2026 season — each row links to that Grand Prix, where the session is shown in your own timezone.

What time is F1 qualifying?

Qualifying sets the grid for Sunday’s race and, on a normal weekend, runs on Saturday afternoon after final practice. The exact start time is different for every Grand Prix and depends where you are, so this hub lists every 2026 qualifying session and links each one to its race page, where the time is converted to your own timezone automatically — no timezone maths. Each row links to that Grand Prix’s page, where every session — including qualifying — is shown in your own timezone. On a sprint weekend, the qualifying above is the Grand Prix qualifying that sets Sunday’s grid; a separate Sprint Qualifying runs earlier in the weekend to set the Saturday sprint grid.

When is F1 qualifying held?

On a standard Grand Prix weekend, qualifying is the last session on Saturday, after three hours of practice spread across Friday and Saturday morning. It decides the starting order for Sunday’s Grand Prix, so it is the second-biggest moment of the weekend after the race itself — and the times move around the calendar, from early-morning starts for the Asia-Pacific rounds to evening sessions under lights at the night races.

Because a fixed clock time only helps viewers in one timezone, every session on this site is converted to yours on the individual race pages. Pick any round above to see its qualifying — and every other session — in your local time, with a countdown.

Qualifying on a sprint weekend

Six of the 23 2026 rounds are sprint weekends, which run two qualifying sessions. Sprint Qualifying sets the grid for the Saturday sprint, while the traditional Grand Prix qualifying — the session listed in the table above — still sets the grid for the Sunday race. For the full running order of a sprint weekend, see the 2026 F1 sprint schedule.
