What’s new on the 2026 grid?

2026 is the biggest shake-up to the Formula 1 grid in a decade. It expands from 10 teams and 20 cars to 11 teams and 22 drivers: Cadillac joins as F1’s 11th team — a new American entry backed by General Motors, with Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas both returning to the grid — and Audi takes over the former Sauber squad for its first season as a full works constructor. Lewis Hamilton begins his second year at Ferrari alongside Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz lines up at Williams, and Arvid Lindblad is the grid’s sole rookie at Racing Bulls.
